  • Standardized in-vehicle and in-cloud interfaces and functions simplify and enhance development of complex applications
  • Regular updates of in-vehicle software and services throughout lifecycle
  • Secure data transmission between vehicle and backend

Las Vegas, NV, U.S., January 5, 2023 – The vehicle transforms into a software-defined vehicle, characterized and customized on the basis of software rather than hardware. Software will not only bring new functionality in the areas of connectivity, automation, and customization. It will also enable vehicle integration within digital ecosystems. Even once the vehicle is in possession of the end user, it will continue to receive new features and over-the-air (OTA) updates directly from the cloud and without the need to stop by at the workshop. Regular data transmission between vehicle and cloud will enable product improvements and the integration of added features that deliver new vehicle functionality and further optimize fleet management in the passenger car and commercial vehicle sectors.

PANTARIS is a fusion of the former Bosch products Calponia and Mobility Cloud. The result is a customer-centric, cloud-based integration platform marketed by ETAS. PANTARIS creates a platform for the development and updating of vehicle software and for the delivery and usage of vehicle services – from a single source, with ETAS as a powerful partner for vehicle and cloud solutions.

With PANTARIS, ETAS combines standardized, secure transmission and processing of vehicle data with a developer portal and a manufacturer-independent marketplace – all on an integrated, cloud-based platform. ETAS thus facilitates the deployment of vehicle services and connects providers of these applications with users such as vehicle manufacturers or fleet operators. With its directly accessible OTA and data services, ETAS also provides a broad portfolio for the development and operation of vehicle services. In addition to bidirectional data transmission between vehicle and cloud, users also have direct access to tools for data analysis, data integration, and for the ongoing enhancement of vehicle software and functionality, meaning that such improvements can be released over the entire vehicle lifecycle.

The advantages of PANTARIS:

  • Faster to market plus new market opportunities
  • Reduced development and integration workload lowers costs
  • Regular updates and enhancements to vehicle software and services
  • State-of-the-art security standards – suitable for all software and services
  • Managing the increasing complexity in the development of vehicle software and services

The PANTARIS ecosystem provides secure end-to-end communication between vehicle and cloud backend. Connectivity between cloud services and in-vehicle systems and software elements enables fast and easy development and operation of integrated applications. In addition, PANTARIS has a modular design so that it can be integrated seamlessly into existing software and cloud environments, allowing existing solutions to be expanded and updated as required. This makes PANTARIS an open ecosystem that connects developers, providers, and users via a central portal.
