ETAS has officially received ISO 26262 ASIL-B certification from TÜV Süd for its AUTOSAR Adaptive stack, RTA-VRTE. This certification underscores ETAS' commitment to functional safety and positions RTA-VRTE as a premier vehicle platform solution for developing safe and scalable next-generation automotive software architectures.

The ISO 26262 ASIL-B certification of RTA-VRTE offers multiple benefits to the automotive industry, particularly in simplifying compliance with stringent safety regulations. With this certification, ETAS enables its customers to reduce validation efforts, streamline development processes, and accelerate time-to-market for their safety-critical applications. This ensures that automotive manufacturers and suppliers can focus on innovation while meeting the highest safety standards.

"The successful certification of RTA-VRTE on the first attempt reflects our commitment and expertise in meeting the stringent automotive safety standards," said Thomas Hahn, Chief Product Manager at ETAS. "This achievement is the result of high-quality engineering and strengthen our position as a leader in providing functional safe software solutions."

The certification of RTA-VRTE as ASIL-B compliant not only enhances the safety profile of automotive applications but also provides a solid foundation for future developments. ETAS is committed to helping its customers achieve their highest safety goals, with plans to offer ASIL-D solutions in collaboration with clients. The company is also actively pursuing certification for an ASIL-D Safety Element out of Context (SEooC), further demonstrating its dedication to comprehensive safety solutions that meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.

As the automotive industry evolves with the increasing proliferation of highly automated and connected vehicles, functional safety remains a critical consideration. The ISO 26262 ASIL-B certification of RTA-VRTE provides a framework for automotive safety, allowing OEMs and suppliers to develop solutions that meet safety requirements while maintaining performance standards.
